About the Trip

This is post #1 of many, many posts to come about this cross-country adventure that myself and my 4 friends are taking. Most of you reading this have heard a lot about this trip but for those of you who haven't, here is the lowdown: The 5 of us decided in the height of winter depression that we needed to do something crazy, awesome this summer. We pondered the idea of going to Alaska to "work" (volunteer) at a national park for the entire summer, but soon realized that it was not the smartest financial decision for 5 struggling college students. We couldn't sacrifice a whole summer without work, so then we came up with the idea of doing a month long journey that took us out west on a National Parks Tour. We have a general, vague, itinerary that takes us from sleepy Houghton NY, to various national parks out west. I will not reveal where we are going, you will just have to follow us along the way :)
